The underside is made of genuine lambskin and has a depth of pile of approx. 30mm while the spinal canal section is left free. The upper side is made of Christ's special saddle pad fabric. It is fixed to the saddle with hook and loop fastener strips on the girth of the saddle. The lambskin is tucked over to the top side at the front and can be used to position the saddle. The lambskin edging at the back also acts as additional edge protection and adds a visually decorative touch.
The article is machine washable with a special lambskin detergent.
