How to measure the girth:

Girths are measured from center of buckle to center of buckle. To estimate the length of the girth you need, start with placing the saddle pad and saddle on the horse. Using a tape measure, measure the distance from the middle billet hole on one side of the saddle to the same position on the other side. The tape should be placed about one hand’s width behind the horse’s elbow. To switch between short (dressage) and long girths, add or subtract about 20 inches (51 cm), respectively.

A comfortable and protective lycra polyester guard for wrapping around the belly of the horse protects and prevents injury and irritation from spurs. The soft fabric won’t chafe and adds a layer of protection while riding over fences or through the countryside. The hook and loop fastener attachments and simple plastic clips make attachment easy. Black elastic fabric moves with the horse for ease and comfort.
