Equistro MEGA BASE is a mineral feed for horses to help meet their nutritional requirements. MEGA BASE contains highly bioavailable organically bound trace elements (IPALIGO®) and probiotics (ACTIGEN®), as well as calcium and phosphorus.
Directions for use: MEGA BASE is particularly recommended for horses receiving a grain-rich ration.
Doping status: Mega Base by EQUISTRO is classified as non-doping-relevant by both the FEI and the FN.

Technical Description:
Composition: Calcium carbonate, yeast from dead cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (ACTIGEN®): 16.6 %, lactose, dextrose, sodium chloride, dicalcium phosphate. Additives: Trace element compounds: protein hydrolysate zinc chelate (3b612): 4,000 mg, copper(II) protein hydrolysate chelate (3b407): 250 mg, selenium (in organic form from Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3060 – inactivated selenium yeast) (3b810): 9 mg. Vitamins, provitamins and chemically defined substances having a similar effect: vitamin A (retinyl acetate) (3a672a): 300,000 IU, vitamin E/all-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (3a700): 4,000 IU, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) (3a671): 3,000 IU. Antioxidants: ascorbyl palmitate (1b304): 9,900 mg. Analytical constituents: Crude ash: 43 %, calcium: 10 %, moisture: 7 %, crude protein: 6.5 %, sodium: 6.5 %, crude fat: 3.5 %, phosphorus: 1.9 %, crude fibre: 0.3 %, magnesium: 0.2 %.
Usage Instruction:
Horses (500 kg): 50 g (2 measuring scoops) daily. Foals/ponies: 25 g (1 measuring scoop) daily. Give with the feed. Due to the legally prescribed maximum levels of trace elements and vitamins, this complementary feed must not be administered at more than 350 g per horse (500 kg) per day. Vetoquinol recommends compliance with local and international regulations governing participation in competitions and horse races.
