Equistro ß-CAROTIN is a complementary feed for breeding mares and stallions containing ß-carotene, vitamins A and E, fatty acids and iron.
Directions for use: ß-CAROTIN provides vitamins and their precursors, in particular 500 mg of ß-carotene per day, which are essential for optimal reproductive performance before and during the breeding season, especially when concentrations in fresh forage decline during the winter months.
Doping status: ß-carotene by EQUISTRO is classified as not relevant to doping by both the FEI and the FN.

Technical Description:
Composition: Dextrose, fish oil 8%, calcium carbonate Additives: Vitamins and provitamins: Vitamin A (3a672a) 200,000 IU, beta-carotene (3a160(a)) 10,000 mg, vitamin E/all-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (3a700) 10,000 mg. Trace elements:: iron(II) protein hydrolysate chelate (3b107) 1,700 mg Analytical constituents:: Moisture 12 per cent, crude ash 11.6 per cent, hydrochloric acid-insoluble ash 5 per cent, crude protein 4 per cent, crude fat 3.5 per cent, sodium 0.9 per cent, crude fibre 0.3 per cent.
Usage Instruction:
Breeding mares (500 kg): 50 g = 2 measuring scoops per day, starting 60 days before covering and throughout pregnancy. Stallions (500 kg): 25–50 g = 1–2 measuring scoops per day, depending on breeding workload. Add to the usual ration. Due to the legally prescribed maximum levels of iron, this complementary feed must not be administered at more than 4,000 g per horse (500 kg body weight) per day.
